Sea Buckthorn

The North's Lemon

The sea buckthorn trees berry has the highest vitamin content of any of the regional fruits, earning it the moniker “Lemon of the North.”

New consumer groups can now purchase sea buckthorn thanks to Lienig’s inventive fruit blends. This was made feasible, among other things, by fruit liquids from sea buckthorn that were created in the company’s own laboratory. These juices exhibit a consistent turbidity that inhibits the pulp’s typical optically negative precipitations. The sea buckthorn trees is a “resting powerhouse that is awaiting to be recognized through the consumer goods industry” .

This is what makes the Lienig sea buckthorn products so special:

Controlled cultivation compliant with the Council Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91 on organic production of agricultural products
The only juice with plant oil
 Especially rich in vitamin C
Contains basically all fat-soluble vitamins (especially A and E)
Contains a high amount of essential fatty acids
Antioxidants which strongly counter any alteration of the oil or juice
High acid content, fresh acidity, low fizz share for beverages and nectars
Product quality (only from pulp) and turbidity stability if needed

This is a heading that talks about the vitamins found in sea buckthorn.

“Interesting facts about sea buckthorn.”

Sea buckthorn

(Hippophae rhamnoides) is a highly versatile plant that grows abundantly in moderate, maritime, or continental climates, and is widely spread across Central Asia. It is known to thrive even in poor soils, making it an excellent option for cultivation in many regions, including the March of

Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western

Pomerania. The plant exhibits specific characteristics, including male and female plants in a 1:1 ratio. Interestingly, it is protected in Germany, and its thorny, greyish-brown, unwieldy branches are distinctive. Its coral-red berries emerge in August, adding to its unique appeal. Harvesting sea buckthorn is a precise operation, with berries only being

harvestable

every two years after a three-year growth period. After harvesting, vibratory systems are used in the harvesting machines to cut off the twigs and separate them from the fruits. A frozen state is used for berry types that are extremely sensitive, which makes them easier to cut off.
